I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Mine was not good. I was in the hospital. :cries:

I got to leave the hospital on Saturday and I'm doing much better right now, though still pretty weak. I will be posting a more detailed entry on my blog ochitsuki.net but this is the basics of what happened.

I was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday last week for severe pain in the upper part of my stomach.  For the last few weeks I had been having a lot of stomach pain, enough to not want to eat. Doctor had planned to do a test on me for Thursday but I didn't make it that long so I was admitted to get my pain under control and have the test done sooner.

My gallbladder was bad, my surgeon - who did my surgery last time- decided I needed to get my gallbladder out and he was hopeful they could do it laparoscopically but there was a slight chance he would have to open me up because of my last surgery.

I had Surgery on Thursday and was told that after 6 hours they could release me so I could go home for Christmas.

However, when I woke up I was very ill. I threw up at least 8 or 9 times. Still, I was determined to go home and doctors had already prepared my release papers. So I told myself if I can sit up without puking I would go home. I did so we packed up to go home. I almost made it to the front door of the hospital (in a wheelchair of course) when I had a seizure.

:-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O :-O

I've never had a seizure before. I scared the crap out of the poor aide who was wheeling me to the door. E.R. came around with a bed and they drained me of blood testing me every which way they could. Got a CT done of my head as well. It was clear so I had a non-epileptic seizure.

I was forced to stay in hospital another day (Christmas) to be sure I wouldn't have another one. However the super strong anti-biotic the E.R. doctor put me on stopped all the suffering, including my vomiting. Whatever was wrong the anti-biotics helped me. So weird....

I got to go home first thing on Saturday and I couldn't be more happy. I got to eat delicious food at my grandparents (all gluten free I really love how supportive my family is being of that), sister helped me bath and feel better, got to watch everyone open the presents I got them. It was a much nicer day.

All I can say about all this is that I hope I'm never admitted to the hospital again for surgery (I know I have to be for tests soon). I don't think I can handle going under the knife one more time. My poor tummy looks like a road map. ):

Please let the year 2016 be much better than 2015, and 2014!!! PUHLEASE!!!
