For the longest time I didn't want to post this because I was sort of embarrassed by it. I shouldn't be though. It is the proof that I survived. My very own battle scar. Even though I'm still getting sick, this surgery saved my life. Any longer like that and my colon could have busted and I would have gone septic. It's all so surreal to me that this happened, even with the evidence on my stomach. I had amazing doctors, my obgyn doctor for scaring me enough to get me to go to my PCP, my PCP doctor that threw me into the hospital right away even when other doctors kept ignoring my pain, and my surgeon who took good care of me.

The scar is even more healed than that now, though I plan to see a dermatologist about the little bumps it is making. Mostly because it itches. DX I get the feeling they will put some shot into the scar (like steroids) and it will hurt. 0_0

My medication list just seems to grow and grow but I have decided to start doing the Low-FODMAP diet. I was diagnosed with IBS when I was very young. This diagnosis kept doctors from taking me seriously. While IBS is a horrible chronic illness to have, most doctors don't pay much attention to it because they believe it doesn't cause any serious problems, not like an IBD would. Problem with that logic is that not much is know about IBS and why people suffer with it. So a huge group of people with stomach problems get thrown into this diagnosis and then ignored. My doctor now will not label me with IBS. This is because of my colon issue that looked like intussusception, if IBS is not suppose to cause more serious problems then why did that happen to me?

So that is the next thing to try and figure out. Why does my stomach not work right? My PCP doctor is really trying hard to help me out and is not giving up on me. I'm so glad I finally found a doctor who takes my stomach pain serious.

One more thing before I go, my sister will be finished with her job for a few months so hopefully some new cosplay pictures will be posted here soon.

I’m so glad they found the problem before it was too late! I hope they figure out why you’re having stomach problems. It sounds like your PCP is a really good doctor :)

I have a bump behind my shoulder from a scar, and I saw a dermatologist about it because it started itching and being irritated. I have to admit, the steroid shot hurt, but it works so well! The bump flattened quickly, and it doesn’t bother me anymore. He also prescribed a cream to use if the bump rises up again.
